JOSHUA JOSHUA is the stage name of Josh Graham. He’s a queer, energetically colourful, award winning multidisciplinary artist, originally from The Blue Mountains, NSW. His chaotic dance moves, bright imagery, and casual lyrics are lighthearted and playful, but his music touches on deeper themes of the self.

His primary practice as a musical recording artist, informs his other practices including, video art, design, animation, and interactive. He graduated from Billy Blue School of Graphic Arts with a bachelor of Multimedia Communication Design in 2008. His music-lead practice has seen him create an interactive installation for Google, direct international campaigns for MTV and create a world-first interactive visual album containing 8 interactive music videos, for his band ‘Enerate’.

JOSHUA JOSHUA’s works have gone on to win multiple awards such as Best Trailer at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (2019) for a video piece for Gang of Youths and MTV. His Interactive musical works have been featured at Vivid Ideas: Clipped Music Video Festival (2018) Bigsound Tech (2018, 2019). And he’s won 5 Promax BDA awards including Best Music Composition (2018). JOSHUA JOSHUA’s music has received sync placements on shows for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Channel 10, SBS, ABC TV, MTV USA and MTV ANZ, iTV, and FX, and has received radio play on Triple J, and FBi Radio.

In his work as a solo artist, JOSHUA JOSHUA takes listeners on a genre-bending dreamy journey exploring themes of identity, masculinity and sexuality in the 2020's. He seamlessly blends many far flung influences, enjoying the post-internet world where it's not about genre artists – each song is a unique expression. His tracks span the spectrum of sound design, art pop, indie pop, new wave punk and techno, yet they all have a uniquely JOSHUA JOSHUA sound. In November 2022, JOSHUA JOSHUA released his debut record ‘Rush’ via streaming and a limited edition run of double red 12” vinyls.

When playing live shows, he pairs his live set with a bespoke visuals show, heightening the experience and taking the crowd into his strange flashy mind for the duration, leaving you wanting more, excited, and a little confused.
